Local Network Monitoring

(Internal)


   SyslogIT® will collect local (internal) network data from the firewall syslog to report network computer activity. Everywhere a computer user visits on the Internet or network is logged in the firewall syslog. This data is recorded in the SyslogIT SQL database for searching and reporting.

   This diagram illustrates a typical local office network and one firewall. The computer hosting SyslogIT® will then collect and "Live" monitor the syslog data from the firewall.

   Note: A dedicated "hosting" pc is recommended due to intense CPU and RAM use.
